The Africa Business School (ABS) within Mohammed IV Polytechnic University (UM6P, Morocco) is recruiting a Senior Consultant and Center Officer.

The Africa Business School is dedicated to creating a rigorous and inclusive center for the development of research and learning in the continent. Drawing on strong private and public support, and in partnership with Columbia University, HEC Paris, and Ecole Polytechnique, ABS aims to become a trendsetter for shaping the social and business landscape in Africa and beyond.

The school is seeking candidates with ambitious career goals, preferably with direct relevance for the African continent. Readiness to be a self-starter is essential.

Working as a member of multi-disciplinary team (learning – advisory – research) under the guidance of the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research and Knowledge (CIEKR), the Senior Consultant and Center Officer works on the design, conception and implementation of training programs (degree programs, certificates, custom programs) with the academic team, ensures collaboration among stakeholders involved in the ABS/UM6P/OCP, Moroccan, and Africa entrepreneurial ecosystems and provides strategy and support on the day-to-day delivery of the Center’s operations.

Job Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Serving as to bridge for the gap between academic and professional development, advisory, and research in developing solutions and frameworks to solve employment, inclusion problems, and corporate needs through empowering participants and equipping them with the needed entrepreneurial and innovation skills to promote their success and contribution to the New Development Model of Morocco.

  • Development and design of technical and soft skills knowledge and training, by contributing to research and development of innovation and entrepreneurship domain content that focuses on entrepreneurial skills, whether “technical” including opportunity discovery process, design thinking, and pre-incubation curriculum or ‘’growth mindset/entrepreneurial mindset’’ including self-leadership, problem solving, teamwork skills capabilities and cognitive and behavioral skills critical to shaping one’s entrepreneurial success.

  • Educational curriculum and training, through the development, delivery, and facilitation of innovative “best practice” workshops, courses materials, training programs to the targeted audiences of the Center, including program providers, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurials, mentors and coaches, and academic instructors, within the ABS/UM6P/OCP ecosystem and throughout Morocco and Africa.

  • Domain expertise knowledge, by contributing to enriching the body of research in the field, by addressing the specific needs and challenges of entrepreneurs and supporting the development of entrepreneurial capabilities in specific sectors where there is a gap in research on Morocco and Africa; and where the development of educational programs addressing current program efforts and performance, employability, the inclusion agenda need a deep understanding of the challenges of the entrepreneurial specific profiles and needs. This includes contributing to projects addressing the assessment of the performance of entrepreneurial ecosystems in Moroccan and Africa (ex: Project Eureka).

  • Managerial support to the CIEKR, for the various activities related to the Center’s operations, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring visibility and advancement of CIEKR activities and best practices dissemination.

  • Strategic support to the CIEKR, by developing and revising with the Center leader, as needed, the vision, mission, strategy, and plans for CIEKR.

  • Business development support to the CIEKR

  • Embrace continuing professional development of self, team members and colleagues.

Competitive candidates will exhibit a desire to contribute to the formation of an emerging Center of Excellence and support the overall growth and success of ABS.

Priority will be given to candidates with a demonstrated ability to work in Higher Education and/or advisory services.

Location: ABS has its main campus in Rabat and is a part of Mohamed IV Polytechnic University (UM6P) which is in Ben Guerir, Morocco, near Marrakesh. This position will be based in Rabat.
