Role Description

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team. This role involves conducting hydrological research including carrying out field and laboratory work, data analysis, and solute transport modelling. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hydrology, chemistry, geology, hydraulics, soil science, engineering, excellent analytical skills, and /or experience working in the field and laboratory/ modelling. The applicant will be expected to travel to different field sites in Morocco.

  • Start date: Immediately, and not later than February 2024.

Profile recherché

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated experience conducting field and laboratory work, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and French (fluency in Arabic is considered an advantage)
  • Moroccan Driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of analyzing and visualizing spatial data sets using appropriate software, such as GIS, Q-GIS, MATLAB, Python or R is an added advantage.
  • Experience of writing technical or scientific reports and/or papers is an added advantage.
