1. Mission
A Senior Scientist position is available in mechanical engineering and energy systems to conduct advanced research in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal and fluid dynamics, and functional materials applied to hydrogen storage, renewable energy, and industrial processes.
The objective of this position is to develop innovative approaches for energy efficiency, hydrogen storage systems, and sustainable energy solutions, leveraging numerical simulation tools and experimental validation techniques. The candidate is expected to contribute to high-quality publications and support technology transfer through applied research collaborations.
2. Principale Activities
- Conduct research and development in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), heat and mass transfer, and energy storage systems.
- Develop innovative modeling approaches for hydrogen storage, adsorption processes, and composite materials.
- Apply multiphysics simulation techniques to optimize energy system performance.
- Lead the design and analysis of mechanical systems for industrial and renewable energy applications.
- Investigate thermal management and structural integrity of energy systems and mechanical components.
- Collaborate on technology maturation projects, bridging academic research and industrial applications.
- Write scientific publications, patents, and technical reports.
Profile recherché
3. Main skills
Strong expertise in mechanical engineering, thermal systems, and CFD modeling.
Experience in hydrogen storage, adsorption processes, or energy system optimization.
Proficiency in numerical simulation tools (ANSYS Fluent or other related tools).
Proficient in CAD modeling, including CATIA, SolidWorks, and other design software.
Experience in project management and technology development.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and industrial partners.
Professional certification in CFD is a strong asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in French and English.
4. Diploma required
Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or equivalent field.
Master’s degree in Hydrogen Technologies is a strong asset.
More than 7 years of experience in industrial fields, R&D, or numerical simulation.
