Role Description:

Working with the Head of Department in maintaining high academic standards within their subject area. To ensure that pupils are supported in their learning journey through Senior School and set the highest aspirations for their pupils’ achievement and development, both in the classroom and through the many extra-curricular activities on offer.

As an Economics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. This position requires a passion for economics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to excel academically.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in Economics according to the Cambridge curriculum standards.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and understanding
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and academic growth.
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments,providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects.
• Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of economics and incorporate relevant information into lesson plans.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum, specifically in Economics.

• Successful experience in working in an international schools (preferably in the UK) with pupils in the age group you are teaching subject
• Experience delivering at IGCSE and IBDP / A Level
• Demonstrated experience in inspiring pupils in a stimulating learning
• Environment Demonstrated experience of using ICT to promote learning
• Ability to analyse student data to support student achievement
• Demonstrated experience in raising achievement and setting challenging targets
• Strong commitment to supporting all aspects of our programme, especially through participating actively in the extra-curricular activities and contributing to the life of the school community
