LIMSET-UM6P is seeking qualified candidates for open rank positions as scientists researchers in the fields of all-solid-state battery, thermal energy storage, and green hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. Primary roles of chosen candidates will expand LIMSET's research programs by demonstrating competencies including:
Expertise in simulation and modeling of energy storage systems.
- Development and validation of models describing the behavior of sustainable energy production and storage systems under diverse operating conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting simulation and/or experimental results.
- Familiarity with computational methods for optimization and design of energy production and storage systems.
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams involving experimentalists and other modelers.
- Work with experimental teams to gather new types of data to enhance models.
- Evaluation of components and systems in a CFD environment to ensure proper behavior.
- Building optimization algorithms for energy production and storage system design.
- Clear and proper documentation of completed tasks.
Profile recherché
Criteria of the candidates:
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related disciplines, focusing on sustainable energy production and storage systems.
- Strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and proficiency in ANSYS and SolidWorks. Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) is desirable.
- Knowledge of machine learning, energy system performance, and techno-economic analysis.
- Familiarity with laboratory works, testing instrumentation, and software such as LabView for data acquisition and control.
- Proven ability for multidisciplinary research and contributions to funded research programs.
- Capability for planning, sourcing, and developing new initiatives and ongoing research activities.
- Ability to identify and fulfill academic writing requirements for proposals, reports, and scientific publications.
- Understanding of operational requirements for successful research project management.
- Proficient English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
