Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our dynamic team with a background in phytochemistry, phytomicrobiology and enzymatic assays. This position will be based at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, AgroBiosciences Program, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Benguerir, Morocco.
As an Assistant Researcher specializing in Biochemical Characterization and Functional Assays, you will play a pivotal role in our research endeavors. You will conduct detailed analysis of plant-derived compounds, utilizing enzymatic assays and bioassays to evaluate their biological effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform extraction and isolation of phytochemicals from natural sources.
- Characterize phytochemical compounds using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
- Conduct bioassays to assess the biological activities of phytochemicals.
- Contribute to research advancement by engaging in research projects and research publication.
Profile recherché
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Candidate must hold a master’s degree in phytochemistry, biomass valorization, or an equivalent field.
- Strong background in phytochemistry and biochemistry.
- Proficiency in conducting enzymatic assays and biochemical analyses.
- Knowledge of plant metabolism and natural product chemistry.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in biochemical and biological assays.
- Ability to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration within the research team and presentation of findings.
- Ability to stay updated with current research trends and methodologies in phytochemistry and biological activities
