1 - Development of Photocatalysts

The objective is to synthesize and develop advanced photocatalysts supported on porous materials, including the selection of suitable porous matrices such as zeolites, silica, or activated carbon…. It is essential to employ a variety of preparation methods, including impregnation, sol-gel synthesis, co-precipitation, and hydrothermal techniques, to ensure uniform deposition and a robust interaction between the active photocatalyst and the support material. It is essential to optimize the structural, chemical, and morphological properties of the composite materials in order to enhance photocatalytic activity, stability, and reusability under relevant environmental conditions.

2- Material Characterization

It is recommended that advanced physicochemical analyses of the synthesized photocatalysts be performed, including techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), porosimetry (BET), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The objective is to analyze and interpret the experimental data in order to establish a correlation between the material properties and the photocatalytic performance. It is essential to prepare comprehensive reports on the findings in order to provide a basis for further research and publications.

3 - Experimental Design and Setup:

The objective is to design and construct experimental setups, including reactors and measurement systems, for photocatalytic tests. A further objective is the development and optimization of experimental protocols for the evaluation of photocatalyst performance under controlled conditions.

Profile recherché

1 - Education and Experience:

Degree: Master’s/Engineering degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in material synthesis, and environmental applications is preferred.

2 - Technical Skills:

Knowledge in the synthesis of porous materials and photoatives.
Knowledge in advanced characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM/TEM, BET, UV-Vis spectroscopy).
Familiarity with designing experimental setups for catalytic and photocatalytic reactions.

3 - Soft Skills :

Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (report writing and presentations).
