Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Humanities-Geography Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching geography within the framework of the Cambridge International Curriculum. As a Humanities-Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering critical thinking skills, and inspiring students to explore the world around
them. This position requires a passion for geography and humanities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement dynamic and comprehensive lesson plans for geography and humanities courses aligned with the Cambridge curriculum standards.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to facilitate active learning and inquiry-based exploration.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to share their ideas and perspectives
  • Incorporate real-world examples, case studies, and fieldwork experiences to enhance students' understanding of geographical concepts and issues.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary connections between geography and other humanities disciplines, such as history, sociology, and environmental science.
  • Assess student learning and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and global awareness.
  • Stay informed about current events, global issues, and developments in the field of geography, incorporating relevant information into lesson plans and discussions.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, pedagogical knowledge, and curriculum expertise.
Profile recherché

? Successful experience in working in an international schools (preferably in the UK) with pupils in the age group you are teaching subject
? Experience delivering at IGCSE and IBDP / A Level
? Demonstrated experience in inspiring pupils in a stimulating learning
? environment Demonstrated experience of using ICT to promote learning
? Ability to analyse student data to support student achievement
? Demonstrated experience in raising achievement and setting challenging targets
? Strong commitment to supporting all aspects of our programme, especially through participating actively in the extra-curricular activities and contributing to the life of the school communit
