Engineer in Finite Volume Numerical Schemes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and deliver scalable and performant scientific codes based on finite volume schemes.
  • Capacity management and benchmark optimization.
  • Participate in group meetings and present your work to peers.
  • Be exposed to large-scale computer systems and supercomputers, as well as emerging technologies.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for delivering your projects.
  • Assist in improving the team and supporting PhD students.

Profile recherché

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience with low-level programming languages such as C/C++ or Fortran.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Familiarity with source code management practices like git, repo, and code reviews.
  • Ability to independently understand complex problems and devise efficient, robust solutions.
  • Experience with development tools and Continuous Integration.
  • Strong knowledge of numerical methods, particularly finite volume schemes.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for solving problems in innovative ways.
